ARTIST BIO

Jay Howley is an illustrator, designer, and writer born and raised in rural southern Pennsylvania. Jays work is varied in medium and platform alike, ranging from large scale acrylic paintings and sculptural installations to self published comic works. Storytelling tethers his works to each other, as sequential progressions are imbued into each of his pieces at their core, whether it be in the progression and stylistic growth of fine art pieces in a series of works, or in the more straightforward type of sequences used in his comic works and the storytelling written into the pages. Recent works have focused on progression in the actual themes of the works, touching on personal growth and what legacy means once someone has left a place.
